The reviewer purchased a used iPhone 10r to see if using an older phone would be a downgrade from their iPhone 13 pro. Surprisingly, they found that the experience was very similar, with the exception of the battery life. They noted that for a vast majority of people, having the latest and greatest iPhone doesn't fundamentally change the iPhone experience. The reviewer only felt the need to switch back to the iPhone 13 pro for the better camera, faster performance, and other upgrades, but the iPhone 10r still offers 90% of the experience. They suggest sticking with the iPhone 10r unless there's a specific reason to upgrade.
