The iPad Pro is a great device for media consumption with excellent hardware, but it falls short as a laptop replacement due to its software. While iOS 11 has brought improvements, using the iPad Pro for regular work is still a challenge. The keyboard is not as good as a regular laptop keyboard, and the touchscreen is not as precise as a mouse or trackpad. The device is also not as thin with the added keyboard, and the pricing is comparable to good ultrabooks and 2-in-1s. The reviewer believes that it is doable to replace a laptop with the iPad Pro, but it is still a giant pain in the ass.
