The HP Chromebook 14 is a good device for its affordable price of $230, with decent build quality, keyboard, trackpad, port selection, and speakers. The AMD A4 processor performs well for basic tasks, and the battery life is up to par. However, the screen is the worst aspect of this Chromebook, with abysmal viewing angles, lack of color depth, and brightness issues. This makes it difficult to recommend to most people, especially for school or work purposes, unless a better version of the screen is introduced. It may be suitable for younger kids or those who don't care much about screen quality, but upgrading the screen on HP's site raises the price to $400, which makes it hard to justify.
