The Acer Nitro 5 is a budget-friendly gaming laptop that continues to offer a good price to performance ratio. The new 16-inch model offers more vertical space and a few extra ports compared to the previous 15-inch model.
The design has been cleaned up and the touchpad has been significantly enlarged. The QHD display is excellent for gaming and content creation. The performance is yet to be determined, but the AMD Ryzen 7 7735 HS processor with Advanced Optimus is expected to offer good efficiency and battery life.
The software has also been updated and is aesthetically pleasing. Upgradability is easy with Phillips screws and two NVMe SSD slots and two slots for RAM. The laptop is a bit heavier and the sound quality of the speakers is not great.
Overall, the Acer Nitro 5 is a consistently improving laptop and a popular option for budget gamers.
