The HP Chromebook 14 is a well-balanced and reasonably-priced machine that is speedy enough for day-to-day tasks with a great feature set, top-notch keyboard and trackpad, and a bright, crisp screen. The battery life is merely average, and there is occasional stuttering and sluggishness under heavy loads. The lack of an interface scaling feature is a downside, but overall, it's a solid all-around machine that may make you forget you're leaving something behind.
