The reviewer compares two HP Omen 15 configurations, one with a Ryzen 5 5600H CPU and Nvidia RTX 3060 graphics, and the other with a Ryzen 7 5800H CPU and Nvidia RTX 3070 graphics. Both laptops have the same design and build quality with the only differences being the CPU, GPU, and screen. The higher spec model is $340 or 30% more expensive than the lower spec model. While there is a 33% increase in CPU and GPU power, the performance gains in most games and applications are not significant. The reviewer recommends getting the lower spec model for 1080p gaming, unless you have the budget for the higher spec one or need the extra CPU and GPU power for multithreaded workloads.
